Panther Touchdown Club Fishing Spring Open Bass Tournament 115 Hp Limit

Date of Event: April 25, 2015

 

The purpose of this tournament is to raise money for Chapman Football TD club.

 

The mission of the Panther Touchdown Club is to provide support to the Chapman High School, Middle School, Feeder schools and Youth League football programs. The club is established as a support group to increase parent participation, increase community involvement, generate school spirit and assist in building enthusiasm for and within our programs. Our goal is to enhance the football programs and the overall experience of the coaches, athletes, parents/family, students and the Inman community, that will enable the program to compete with other top programs at the level assigned by the South Carolina School League.

Rules:

Fish at your own risk, Panther Touchdown Club is not responsible for any accidents. Use caution and follow recommended safe boating practices.

Waivers must be signed before blasts off.

Life jackets must be worn and kill switches attached if the combustion engine is running.

Alcohol, drugs or abusive behavior will not be tolerated.

All state and local ordinances are to be followed.

All boats must be equipped with mandatory safety equipment as directed by the SCDNR.

Anyone caught cheating or breaking any rules may be disqualified from tournament without refund.

Largemouth, Spotted Bass only.

Artificial lures only. Fish must be caught by legal means on rod and reel with hook and line. Trolling is not allowed with gas operated motor. NO SNAGGING & NO DRAGGING. Each team member is allowed only one line in the water at a time.

Tournament blast off times will not be changed. Exception: In the event of severe weather, tournaments will be delayed or cancelled.

All boats must start at designated landing.

Each boat or team is responsible for any launch fee.

Each live well will be checked and red tape will mark boat as having the live well checked.

 

 

Prior to blast off, please leave docks open for other boats to have access for picking up their team members. Be courteous to your fellow fishermen; don’t leave unattended boats tied to docks unless necessary.

Blast off will be safe light.

Blast off will take place in flights, continuous take off. Blast off order will be determined by registration time and date.

All areas of lake that are off limits by SCDNR are prohibited.

All boats must be at the original launch site at the tournament end time. Each minute late = 1 pound deducted up to 5 minutes and then the boat will be disqualified.

Fish are to be brought to the scales in plastic bags with water, no nets allowed. Teams bringing fish to the scales without water will be disqualified from the tournament.

In case of break down, one team member may bring fish to weigh-in in another team’s boat.

No one is to disturb or interrupt the Tournament director officials during the weigh in process. Our full attention is required to accurately and efficiently perform our functions during this time.

Only 5 fish allowed to be brought to scales. No culling at scales. (Teams in violation of this rule will receive a weigh in of 0 fish and 0 weight)

Fish size 12 inch minimum on a golden rule.

Each boat to weigh their biggest fish. A team member will select which fish is to be weighed as their big fish. Only one fish per team will be weighed for big fish.

The biggest fish between tying teams will decide ties in weight for position.

Teams must release live and healthy fish with exception of trophies.

Weigh In

Length is determined by distance from the bottom lip of mouth closed to the end of the tail as it lies. No tail pinching.

½ pounds deducted for each dead fish. Big fish included.

The weigh master determines total weight. All decisions made by weigh and length masters will not be challenged.

 

Tournament Entry Fee: $100.00 Two men per team and $10.00 for Big Bass per team.

$25.00 per team will be donated to the Panther Touchdown Club. Please put names on rules and phone number and send in.
